nslookup binary is a part of the auth-client package, it is used to look up a system name in the dns/dhcp system


Usage:

nslookup systemname


output:

prints systemname, id and owner on the screen.


eg: "nslookup foobar" does a lookup on the name foobar.

"nslookup 15" does a lookup on computer ID 15
